Have you ever wanted to immerse yourself in an animation from a Cartoon Network? Well, soon you’ll be able to do just that, thanks to a brand new theme park opening up in the popular tourist hot spot of Nusa Dua, Bali.
Cartoon Network, the number one kids’ channel in the Asia Pacific, is set to get its very own dedicated entertainment park, following an exciting partnership deal between broadcasting brand Turner Asia Pacific and real-estate investment firm, The MAJ Group.
The entertainment destination will be Indonesia’s first ever internationally-branded site and will feature the country’s largest water park. With a strong Cartoon Network theme running throughout, the park will cover over 10 acres and will be a fun-filled family destination with innovative rides, surf machines and wave pools, as well as an indoor entertainment centre.
Where, when and why?
The park is set to open in 2020 and will be located on the highly popular MAJ Nusa Dua complex, a first-class tourism destination in one of Bali’s most visited resorts.
Ricky Ow, President of Turner Asia Pacific, commented on the news: “The entertainment park will combine world-class design with unparalleled Balinese hospitality. Above all, it will offer guests genuine fun, powered by Cartoon Network, Asia’s leading kids’ entertainment brand.”
Aimed at the whole family, the park will feature live entertainment from popular Cartoon Network characters, including The Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10, and will be the entertainment channel’s first theme park to feature both indoor and outdoor attractions.
Turner International also brought on the likes of Cartoon Network Amazone in Thailand and the Cartoon Network Wave cruise liner in Asia Pacific.
Cartoon Network’s original animated content is viewed in more than 135 million homes in the Asia Pacific. The brand is known for putting its fans at its core, something which the new entertainment park is sure to replicate.
